Lean Six Sigma is a modern combination of business improvement methodologies suited to both manufacturing and transactional companies in all business sectors. Traditional Lean Enterprise generally focuses on removal of waste and traditional Six Sigma project focus is generally understanding the root cause and the reduction of variation. By combining the two, the result is reduced variation, improved quality, and removal of waste with increased velocity of throughput. The IQMS/TEC Lean Six Sigma training courses are a modular programme delivered by IQMS/TEC tutors and experienced Six Sigma Master Black Belts with the requisite qualifications to deliver training, mentoring and consulting.
This course is suitable for lean practitioners, six sigma stakeholders, champions, change agents and support staff who require a basic understanding of the Lean Six Sigma methodology and the potential business benefits (supported by examples) either for introducing and/or maintaining a Lean Six Sigma programme
Module 2 is a total of 5 days and builds on the knowledge gained in module 1 (yellow belt). This course provides the delegate with the skills necessary to lead process improvement teams as part of their full time job. The degree of knowledge and associated skills are less than a Black Belt. Module 2 builds on the knowledge gained from Module 1 and develops their understanding of Lean enterprise and the six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control) model.
Course Content:
After satisfactory completion of this course the delegate has the option to progress to Black Belt by completing Modules 3 and 4. The course syllabi can be linked to on-site mentoring to ensure that newly acquired skills can be used immediately to drive forward sustainable improvement programmes. Ideally individuals should link their Lean Six Sigma training to their own business improvement projects so that newly acquired skills can be used immediately. If required, on-site mentoring can be provided as an addition to any of the Lean six sigma modules to suit the individual projects (complexity and pace). Mentoring can take the form of:-
