IQMS has been specialising in management systems training and consultancy since 1990. We now have a global partnership network that spans Europe and Asia, and that network is growing all the time. Our clients come in all shapes and sizes and from all sectors. It would be wrong to try and define a typical IQMS client, but we regularly work with organisations from public and commercial sectors, providers of financial services, pharmaceuticals, construction, facilities management, engineering, manufacturing, medical devices, you name it. One thing that might be common amongst our clients is their attitude to management systems and people development. They want the type of support from us that is going to make a real difference to both their organisation and their people.

What makes our training better?

All training providers like to think they are different. We are the same. But a while ago we decided to try to do something that would make us really different from most other management systems specialists. We started by asking our customers what aspects of management systems training they did not enjoy, and we resolved not to do them.

  • People don’t like stuffy and formal lecture scenarios
  • People find it harder to learn after their bottom has gone numb
  • People hate getting loads of homework

There were a few weird and wonderful comments and some were not really printable, but those were the main ones.

Worryingly, we learned that most people were actually resigned to the fact that this was the type of experience they were likely to encounter on a management systems or an auditing course. People actually expected it to be boring, so when we made a conscious effort not to do all those things, people got a nice surprise. So we try to do it all the time.
