This blended e-learning and classroom based course has been completely revised to meet the requirements of both ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016. These two standards contain significantly enhanced requirements from the earlier version of automotive quality standard ISO/TS 16949:2009.
Introduction
This new revision has expanded the requirement for suppliers
to automotive industry to become registered to IATF 16949:2016. These
requirements pertain to design and development, production and when relevant, installation
and service of automotive-related products throughout the automotive supply
chain.
The e-learning element delivers a foundation level in ISO 9001:2015 in preparation for classroom focus on the automotive standards specialist requirements and skills based auditor training.

participant in all aspects of conducting first, second and third party
assessments of automotive quality management systems and will benefit those

Prior Knowledge
While there are no formal pre-requisites, it is
strongly suggested for delegates to gain the most from this course, a working
knowledge of ISO/TS 16949:2009 and /or familiarity with the newly issued
standards, IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 would be beneficial. Additionally,
exposure to auditing prior to attending this course and knowledge of the
automotive core tools is recommended.
Those delegates who require an understanding of the structure, content and requirements of ISO 9001 should complete the e-learning element the week prior to the classroom course commencing.
Course Content
Attendees of this course will
learn to audit to the requirements of the standards using the automotive
process approach. The course includes methods for auditing the automotive core
tools; FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP and APQP.
Utilising the principles defined in ISO 19011, the international standard which
defines the guidelines for conducting audits of management systems,
participants will learn to audit to the requirements of IATF 16949:2016 and ISO
9001:2015 using fundamental process-based auditing techniques. The course leads
the participants through the entire audit cycle: Initiation, Planning,
Conducting, Evaluation, Reporting and Follow up. The course employs a variety of techniques
including interactive workshops, simulated audits situations, tutorials and
case studies.

This training concentrates primarily on external second and third party audits and includes continuous assessment of attendee understanding and an exam on the final day. Discussion of how to manage and conduct supplier assessments is also a component of this training.

Delegates successfully completing the course including the examination will be awarded a CQI and IRCA Certified certificate (1752).
